Bible Basis: Hebrews 6:9–20

Memory Verse: We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.—Hebrews 6:19–20

Lesson Aims: After participating in this lesson, each learner will be able to:

• List elements of the “diligence” Christians are to practice.
• Explain the meaning and significance of Jesus as “forerunner” and “high priest forever.”
• Write a prayer of thanks for God’s keeping of his promises.
