Lesson #1 Summer Quarter: Hope In the Lord

Text: Romans 15:1-13

Key Verse: “Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. —Romans 15:5-6

Lesson Aims:

Identify who set the ultimate example of acceptance.
Contrast the Christian concept of empowerment with secular concepts of that term.
Suggest a way to react to a common failing of new Christians (“the weak”).
