Text: Romans 15:1-13
Key Verse: “Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. —Romans 15:5-6
Lesson Aims:
- Identify who set the ultimate example of acceptance.
- Contrast the Christian concept of empowerment with secular concepts of that term.
- Suggest a way to react to a common failing of new Christians (“the weak”).

BIBLE TRUTH: Live honorably.
MEMORY VERSE: “Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pome- granate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you” (Haggai 2:19).
LESSON AIM: By the end of this lesson, we will:
- GRASP Haggai’s message of encouragement to press forward in rebuilding the Temple;
- REALIZE that reneging on promises to God yields catastrophic results; and
- DEVELOP ways to commit to doing God’s work on behalf of the community.

Hearts United in Love [ See lesson June 23, 2019]
Bible Basis: Colossians 2:1-15
Bible Truth: Paul urged the Colossians to be united in love to fully understand the rich treasures offered to them by faith. That way, they can resist false teachings and come to appreciate their new spiritual standing in Christ.
Memory Verse: “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7
Lesson AIM: That we will:
CONTRAST the deceptive philosophies of true faith discussed in Colossians;
BE ENCOURAGED by being rooted and built up in Christ; and
EMBRACE our new standing in Christ as a guard against false teaching.
