#TSSGNotes – 📚🙌🏽❤️ THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT – March 3, 2024
LESSON STUDY NOTES
THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT
BIBLE BASIS: Leviticus 19:18; Deuteronomy 4:35; 6:1-9; Mark 12:28-34
BIBLE TRUTH: God is love.
MEMORY VERSE: “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:30–31, KJV).
LESSON AIM: By the end of the lesson, we will:
- EXPLORE the roots of the ancient Hebrew tradition of loving our neighbors;
- UNDERSTAND how to express genuine kindness to everyone even when it isn’t easy; and
- PRAY for forgiveness for when we haven’t universally applied God’s love to those around us.
