OVERCOMING TEMPTATION
BIBLE BASIS: 1 Corinthians 10:9–22
BIBLE TRUTH: Yielding to temptation is sin.
MEMORY VERSE: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).
LESSON AIM: By the end of the lesson, we will: PONDER Paul’s warnings about yielding to temptation; SENSE the joy of resisting the temptation of sin; and PRAY over specific needs of one another for God’s help in overcoming temptation.
