    BIBLE TRUTH: It is important to study the  impact of words on others.

    MEMORY VERSE: “Out of the same mouth  proceedeth blessing and cursing. My  brethren, these things ought not so to be”  (James 3:10).

    LESSON AIM: By the end of the lesson, we  will: REVIEW James’s teachings concerning  how we speak to others; EXPRESS how it  feels to be criticized and praised; and FIND  WAYS to express praise and criticism in love  despite the circumstances.

    Memory Verse: Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;—Romans 12:6

    Lesson Aims: By participating in this lesson, each learner will be able to:

    1. Describe the dialogue between Habakkuk and God.
    2. Contrast the first half of Habakkuk 2:4 with the second half of that verse in light of Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; and Hebrews 10:37–38.
    3. State a commitment of “yet I will rejoice in the Lord” in spite of some lingering and personal negative situations.
