    Bible Truth: James asserts that loving and obeying God opens the door to God’s blessings and frees us from conflicts and disputes.

     Memory Verse: “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”  James 4:8

    Lesson AIM: That we will ACCEPT James’ teaching about the source of conflicts and his prescription for avoiding them; REPENT of attitudes and behaviors that keep adults mired in conflicts and disputes; and DEVELOP ways to draw near to God in humble submission.

    BIBLE TRUTH: Whatever you do in worship  should edify other believers as well as  yourself. 

    MEMORY VERSE: “How is it then, brethren?  when ye come together, every one of you  hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue,  hath a revelation, hath an interpretation.  Let all things be done unto edifying”  (1 Corinthians 14:26). 

    LESSON AIM: By the end of the lesson, we  will: RECOUNT what Paul says about the  value of speaking in tongues; REALIZE  the importance of speaking plainly in  the company of others; and REAFFIRM  strategies for effectively communicating the  Gospel to both believers and unbelievers.

    MEMORY VERSE: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).
